In the spirit of finding Poser being used in the mass media, I have one to relate. Yesterday while watching part of "Wind Talkers" on TNT, I saw a regional commercial that promoted a humor service for cell phones. By punching in a particular code, the joke would either appear on the video display or played through the audio circuits; I'm not sure which. The advertisement was CG animated and the figures used were not "Dork" or "Posette", but rather the "toon" figures (Barney, Ginger, etc.) introduced with Poser ProPack. They were rendered with cel' styled shaders. whether or not they were rendered within Poser is uncertain, but the figures were unmistakable. Sincerely, Bill

Someone in the DAZ forum spotted that ad awhile back. Are you in the southwest? I believe they said it was airing in Texas.

Oops! Sorry about that. I don't watch that much TV, so it was "new" to me. Southwest? Texas? Actually, I'm in Southwest Georgia. Sincerely, Bill

Yup, that same ad has been showing on MTV for quite a while. Must be the only time Barney and Bertha have ever been actually animated and rendered!
