I read the 3Dattack magazine each month and they have a contest where you answer a simple question and send it back by e-mail. Normally I don't bother to enter since I never seem to win anything. Well... last month I did enter and I WON ZBrush2, the upgrade to ZBrush 2.5, and the ZBrush plugins!!! I was so happy to win, and to win a fantastic program like ZBrush is really cool!!! Thank you 3DAttack and Pixologic!!! Peggy

Peggy, you seem to be the first one who got the upgrade to version 2.5. The upgrade is announced for december 2005 - or earlier, but it's not released yet.

Congratulations, ZBrush is one seriously awesome piece of software. Just like you, I recently got my hands on a copy, only I'm 400 less wealthy because of it ;-)

Many congrats! Mind you, I'd appreciate it more if I knew what Zbrush is/is for.

Peggy, I highly recommend the ZBrush Introduction DVD from the Gnomon Workshop. Meats Meier is an excellent tutor and explains here the ZBrush basics really well and easy to understand. The ZBrush interface and its whole use is very special, especially if you come from a 'normal' 3d program like bryce or cinema. Believe me, I bit more than once into my desk when things worked in ZBrush absolutely different from what I was used to from other progs. (During the first weeks they didn't work at all ;)) Here you see one of my first tries:ddaydreams posted Wed, 05 October 2005 at 9:48 PM
Yep I second that Yoro recommendation the ZBrush Introduction DVDs from the Gnomon Workshop are good. I just finished watching the dvds, they explain things well. I've owned zbrush for a couple of years and I learned more about how zbrush works wathing those dvds in about 6 hours than I did playing with zbrush for 100 hours. Have Fun it's a way cool tool:)

Oh wow Peggy - you have to be so stoked! I saw what ZBrush can do at Siggraph this year and it does indeed look so amazing!
Ohhh I am so jealous! But you have a blast learning it and be sure and share what you've created! :)

I like the Gnomon DVD idea. I have purchased several training DVDs in the last few months. It's a good price on the intro DVD too. Only $49.00. I will borrow my tablet from work and see how it goes.

Awesome Peggy, congrats!! ;oD I got ZBrush 2.0 when I was at Siggraph this year, my tablet is lovin' it! Yeah, the 2.5 upgrade will be free to 2.0 users, and of course some of the plugins which were v2.5 'attributes' shown off at Siggraph, will also be free. Good times.....:o) AgentSmith
