Meshbox Design has laid its last stone in Dwarven Village Volume 1 and begun on planning and modeling the next generation Elven Village Volume 2.Elven Village Volume 2 will have seven models + bonus, with new, original models to help fill out the village. We've only decided for certain on the first one, based on customer feedback (elven trumpets playing!):
Elven Village Lighthouse
But as for the other seven, we want to know what you want. For reference, here is Elven Village Volume 1:
What ever the buildings, except for the bonus model, they have to have analogs across races so we can follow up with equivalents for Halflings and Dwarves (and humans).
We've set up a forum on Meshbox Forums to take your responses, but Ill also stop in here as well to get your feedback.
Thanks for all your help! We want to deliver what people want.
Best regards,
Chikako

How about wall/tower kits so we could build a wall around the city like a fortress?

Healer's/Herbalist's Home. And these sets are wonderful. Keep up the great work. :)

Funny you mentioning wall/tower kits, Nahie. Our Arajishi-jo castle series is about to grow in that direction. Keep the ideas coming! Hmmm...herbalist's shop... Best regards, chikako Meshbox Design

Glass-blower's place. In a certain movie trilogy, Bilbo's house had hand-rolled glass in the windows, and Saruman's tower had glass windows. The elves drank from glass goblets, and, IIRC, there were glass objects in Elrond's library. The palantiri may have been glass or lead crystal. So, the knowledge of how to make and shape it could be considered widespread among the fantasy races. Glass, itself, is very magical. :) Carolly

I think a family house where the elves who are not woodcutters or whatever can actualy live in would be nice. And what about a school for the little elves.
The ideas mentioned by previous posters above are all great ideas too. Wendy

As Mazak said, a Tree-House would be very cool ! And you did a set for the elves, the dwarves and the humans... Any chance to have a village for their eternal ennemies: the orks ?
Ghostofmacbeth posted Sat, 08 October 2005 at 11:00 AM
Orc playes would be fun and hum too ... Anyway, I like the walls, herbalist, glassblower ideas ... You could also have an accessory pack with leftover props (maybe as the bonus item), home, a mason/stonecarver would be good, farmhouse, tanner .. that is it ffor now :)

So far, homes have been our #1 biggest request (strangely enough, the lighthouse was #2!). So definitely we will include some homes. Regarding tree houses though, Id like to make these as flexible as possible. Ive seen some elven tree house art that shows 'tear drop' shaped houses. I think those are interesting but, Id like to have something that you could easily unhook the top and it would look right on the ground as well. What do you think? We've been debating about the orcs/evil races question. Sixius1 makes some lovely evil models and they might want a home someplace. But then again, he might want to make evil buildings himself.

I know he is swamped at the moment (not saying he wouldn't do it, though) and I know you can do a bang up job with them ... He also has a different style orc than your elves and dwarves (which take a more tolkien look, when his are more warhammer).

Oh yes, a set for orcses would be great. Hear me, lol, I can't even afford to buy much new stuff but I'm all excited and giving ideas. But one day, uh huh, one day for sure I'm going to have that elven village pack. :D Keep up the great work! Wendy

Hmmm...well... 1) Guardhouse* 2) Watermill* 3) Inn* 4) Bridge(s-of various lengths 5) Tower(s) or Parapets-that can be individually placed for added diversity 6) Overlook(s)/Platform(s)-by these I mean balcony type areas that can be added to terrain or to larger buildings 7) Church* and/or Temple(s)-to me, Temples would be much larger and more elaborate 8) Homes 9) Wall(s)-various shapes and sizes 10) Castle-actual castle type buildings 11) Market* or Grocer 12) Library or Archive 13) Blacksmith* 14) Weaponsmith 15) Trader 16) Trapper/Furrier 17) Woodshaper* 18) Dock(s)-for those villages that are on waterways 19) Gate(s)-of various shapes and sizes 20) Tavern-to me this is different than an Inn 21) Shop(s)-such as: Magic, Jeweler, etc. 22) Healer or Herbalist 23) Hospital or Healing Home 24) Council/Town Hall 25) Guild Halls-usually reserved for guilds only 26) Schools-normally one skilled in magic would not go to the same educational facility as a metalworker 27) Ruins-distressed and broken types of buildings 28) Statues 29) Gazebo(s) 30) Bench(s) and Fence(s)-other things found outdoors, such as Lightposts or Torchiers 31) Stable(s) 32) Roof(s)-if different shapes and designs I am thinking ONLY along the lines of High Elves that live in buildings akin to Rivendell from Tolkien. Some of these (in my mind) do not translate over to Dwarves, but they work well with a human populace. If I think of anything else, I will try to add on.
