Kort,
I prefer the 'desaturated colour' in this case.
Carlos.

I actually prefer the monochrome version, believe it or not. The top version's colors are pretty, but there is a same-ness to it that makes it less interesting, for some reason, to me. The middle version, whereas it's actually pretty nice, too, looks to me like it was shot on a day with a partial solar eclipse or something. It is less flat than the first, but it seems dim to me. The black and white, though, speaks to me. I think the beach in the foreground picks up more sparkle in this version, and the waves seem to have more depth, too.

Now that's a tough choice Kortalouche!! It's a beautiful shot and it looks awesome in all 3 versions......! But.....I think....I'll go with the monochrome one!! Yep!! It has that 'lil extra moody touch that makes it stands out even more! all IMHO of course! :)

i prefer the desaturated colours... it's more "dramatic" which gives a certain beauty to the scenery i.m.h.o.

As is always the case, personal preferences rule, lol. What is great to one is so-so to another. I don't suppose there is a definitive answer usually. That being said, when i find myself in this situation, i usually opt for the desaturated look. A nice compromise on an issue that would solve itself if it really made a difference i think!!! Lee

The second is nice with the dark colors but i prefer the b&w. you have more contrast between the sea and the beach. have a good day
