Subject: bear with me...take a nap...eat eculyptus all day long

This little Aussie bear was spotted in Columbus, Ohio, USA. They sleep most of the day and eat eculyptus the rest. Figure about 22 hours sleep! Beats eating chocolate and watching soaps all day! (IMHO) We caught one AWAKE several years ago...bright eyes, a sight not generally seen. Posted for fun..to sleepyheads. Yes, they smell like what they eat, aromatic spice bears.

I know someone who does the same thing. hmmm Ohio...never would have known. You got a good shot there.

How adorable!! I love these little bears. I have a lot of eucalyptus around my house....just wish I had a few of these in them! Ohio seems like a strange place for them. Great shot, Tom. :)

Wow Tom, this guy is the cutest. I don't know what I'd do with only 2 hrs. of Renderosity a day, but I guess if you are high on eucalyptus all the time, you wouldn't really care! Great shot!!! =]

I did...there are about 2 years of my life in my 20's I have trouble remembering. Eucalyptus addiction is not a pretty sight...

Ok, here is one more shot. These are cuties! Still, they have nice sets of claws. The one we saw awake gently sat on a tree, reached for eucalyptus, ate it a few leaves at a time. To see one awake is not common..we were very fortunate. As expected, this little bear in Ohio was sleeping..we met several folks in Ohio who were sleeping, too. It was a fun visit. Tom.

Sorry, this one was sleeping the entire time. I could have shot at 1/25 sec and would have been ok! No movement but a little breath. The one eating was a few years ago and no camera. Tom.

aweeeeeeeeeeeeee he is SOOOOOOOOO CUTE...I saw one exactly like this at the sandiego zoo but my camera was waterlogged that day.. he is adorable have to show my girls this cutie!!
