Hi all, How do you save a pose in P6 that requires the character to be translated out of the XYZ zero position? For example, Ive been working on some fighting and dancing sets where the poses are designed for two Victorias. Ive seen it done before, where the character snaps to the correct position from zero when the pose is applied. (Snow Sultans Battle Bonanza) Thanks

I may be mistaken, but I think all you have to do is save the pose normally. As long as the pose is applied to a figure that is in the "normal" zero position, the pose should place each of the figures in the correct target spot. Save each figure individually. Here's what I would do just to be sure ... Save the project that has both figures posed before you do anything else. Save the pose for each figure, one at a time. Create a new project, and add one of the two figures. Apply one of the poses to it. Add the second of the two figures. Apply the second pose to it. If it doesn't work, you still have your original project to fall back on. Let us know how you make out!

You need to make sure that you've positioned the character by rotating and translating the Hip (and not the Body). It will then save in place. Conversely, to make sure that position info ISN'T saved with a pose, make sure you're only translating the Body and not the Hip.

If you want complete control of the position of the character then you need to make sure the pose contains body translation information. Poses saved normally from Poser don't so you have two choices. You can hack the pose file and write in the body translation information by hand, or you can do yourself a favour and go to my artist page and download my PoseSave python script, which will allow you to save poses with body translation information (as well as saving morph setting poses, poses with ERC info etc).

Ajax - thanks for the tips, and the offer of the script. This sounds very useful. Thanks again.
