Could this be Carrara 5 being announced? That would be fantastic!

mmoir posted Thu, 20 October 2005 at 12:39 PM

Looks like we are going to get some info on Carrara 5 soon.

MarkBremmer posted Thu, 20 October 2005 at 1:14 PM

What else would Eovia have a special chat about? :-D

bluetone posted Thu, 20 October 2005 at 1:37 PM

Maybe integrating Hexagon into Carrara 'Studio' 5? :D

They don't give out much info about their products in their chat room. It's mostly just people shooting the breeze is all. Usually after new products are announced on their site does anyone know what's coming.

I've been looking forwards to this for a while. I probably won't be able to log in that night, but I do hope that someone can post a transcript or a list of the highlights the next day.

Hey, want to make sure I am in the right channel. Went to irc://efnet/carrara, but it's been dead over there several times. Just want to make sure got the location right. Other than usual logon lag to get a good efnet connection everthing else seems fine just no one there.

LOL...I went there again. I get 15 unknown connections, but no other users. Using chatzilla. Seems to work. That would make it 8:30PM pacific time. My irc is rusty, but I don't think that rusty. :D

How do you access this? Is it a website?

ren_mem posted Sat, 22 October 2005 at 11:24 PM

If you use chatzilla, for example. You can use a url format like. irc://efnet/carrara. IRC is basically like a telnet terminal, like old bbs days... So the other alternative is an irc program. Can be slow tho.
