Since I posted the image using the beta 3 version of the RIFS formula some folks seem to have downloaded the wrong file (the beta 2 version had "4_2" in the name which may have been the problem). Anyway for anyone interested in trying it the beta 3 version is here: http://www.ultrafractal.org/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=4 That's "MMF4 RIFS beta 3" :-) As I said in the comment on the image I put in my gallery here, please do not yet post UPRs using the formula for public use as the final version of the formula may not be backwardly compatible with the beta 3 version - but the UPR file for the release version will be different so don't worry about compatibility of anything you create privately :-) Those of you interested in creating images similar to flames directly in Ultrafractal should note that the RIFS formula has an "Inverse" rendering option that renders like a "normal" UF fractal formula, i.e. so you can see the image being rendered, and that there's also an option to use a "normal" UF colouring formula when rendering using the Inverse method which produces interesting results particularly when using orbit based colourings (provided you remember to set Max Iterations to say 100 instead of the formula default of 1. bye Dave (MakinMagic)
