Hot news from the latest Daz newsletter: "We're also very pleased to announce that David and Stephanie Petite are being added as $1.99 items in the Platinum Club. That's right, Platinum Club members will be able to purchase David and Stephanie Petite, two highly popular Millennium figures currently selling at $39.95, for only $1.99 each! So head on over to the Member's Only forum and join the celebration!" I'm glad I held off on buying them both until now. -jjsemp

What'cha tryin' to say Momo? Mo Mo Morphs? No Mo Morphs? DAZ Business as usual?
momodot posted Thu, 20 October 2005 at 8:49 PM
Da ladder! Not to look a gift horse in the mouth... I do apreciate the thought. I actually do think this stuff is sincere not calculating or a scam... but... I can't afford those morphs. Too bad so sad.
Dave-So posted Thu, 20 October 2005 at 9:20 PM
one thing ... a lot of stuff is being put on sale. Plus the PC members get 50% off DAZ originals instead of 30% until 17 Nov , I think it was. For instance, right now the Aiko3 Pro bundle is 30% off ... plus the 50% PC discount. They just sold the milcat and bigmilcat for 50% off plus the PC 50% discount, Its a great time to find some cash

Going on sale tomorrow, I would assume previous purchasers get a voucher like when M3 & V3 became free. The 50% PC discount is good for a month so ... ... there goes my next paycheck. :-(

Errr ... I just looked at SP3 in the store and she isn't showing up as a PC item. What's up with that? :(

I've already have StephanieP - I picked her up way back when she first came out. David, I probably never would have owned. Except for a deal like this. At $1.99, he's worth adding to my runtime. Even with a little extra cost for his morphs thrown in.

David is much better than Mike 3...IMO ;) Good Deal get'em.

I agree. David IS better than M3. I use him every chance I get, and I use Steph Petite more than I use V3. bonni

DAVID AND STEPH PETITE FOR ONLY $1.99 EACH??? Imo that's exactly what their worth since there's very little support for them. As usual if you really want them to by useful you still have to pay $50 per figure. By the way this time the "Not to look a gift horse in the mouth" isn't applicable... it's not a gift, you still pay for it.
Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

There is huge support for Steph 3 I think. So much stuff I want if for SP3 only. And I see David stuff too. But I just can't afford this stuff. I wish they would release reduced resolution versions for people like me who can't afforsd the INJ figures or run the platforms to run them. But I can't blame DAZ for following a marketting plan rather then catering to me.
Smoovie posted Fri, 21 October 2005 at 9:56 AM
David and Steph P are great model and I think they have adequate support. You just need more that the base to get the get the best out of them. For what you would save on the base, it's worth it to buy the morphs. I just wish I had held off

At DAZ.I don't think that they've gone into the Platinum Club $1.99 pricing yet.
Please note that you'd have to join the Platinum Club at DAZ in order to take advantage of the Platinum Club pricing both on these figures, and on many other items. BTW - the Platinum Club is a fantastic deal.

Saying the word "DAZ" to some is equivalent to waving the red cloth in front of a bull......
Or -- in view of the season -- like waving garlic under a vampire's nose.

Lol aeilkema! You're the only person I know who thinks that lowering the price of something by $37.96 is a bad thing. But then it wouldn't be a thread concerning DAZ without you ranting, raving and foaming at the mouth. Coldrake

there's very little support for them Interesting. I guess I'm just dreaming the runtime full of David and Stephanie stuff I've got... I agree that David has less stuff than Mike, but when you consider that a third to half of everything available for Mike is crap, anyway, it's not that much of a loss.... ;-P bonni

Can I transfer the Mike 3 morphs to David (using MorphManager?)

Dave-so: You can use Mike 3 textures on David, infact I got David standard res textures as part of DAZ David Bundle but I never use them and always apply M3 hi res version to him. svdl: No, Mike 3 and David are grouped in adifferent way. It is the same difference you have between Victoria 3 and Mike 3. But if you own UMT (Unimesh Morph Transfer) you will be able to convert Mike morphs to use them with David. But it must be said that David Morphs are much, much better than Mike 3 morphs. And there are some cheap add on products like JPeter Movie Men Series here in the Marketplace that use David Morphs and are among my favourite purchases ever.
