Hi Esther :-)))) animations are only create when you have two different states. So when you do the material change at frame zero it should work. How are the pancakes?

thanks I'll try. well I did write to you about the pancakes on that other thread. No need to bake. Official word from vue about exporting boolean objects. However I pointed out the booleaness gets lost in 3ds export and they realized it was a bug and will try and fix. As for the pancakes - it was a glitch in that particular vue file - no pancakes since, but terrible looking textures unless I export as 3ds and then I lose booleaness. Love esther

that worked, but I have a feeling (okay I haven't tried properly yet) that when I change the pose in poser it might not offer me to keep those texture changes. well the vue people said it would if I didn't collapse identical materials so I will try and see. Love esther

I think this has to do with the "frames per second" settings that are different between the two programs Esther. Try to make them the same and then check again!

aha - which one should I change it in, poser or vue, and what would be a good setting? I'm only rendering stills but like to choose which frame. Love esther

I would simply change both. Coming from pal video business i am used to 25 frames per second. Is burned into my brain so i always make it that way.

we have pal in australia too. Okay, done! well when it's finished rendering my pic. I am oh so happy that I finally got render cow working. I have my 2 macs, my PC (that I hardly used before) and my husband's PC all hapilly rendering together. It's a beautiful sight to behold. Love esther PS I finally got around to posting a pic to the gallery but I did the size wrong and it looks terrible. I can't seem to find a way to undo it. Is it possible or once it's uploaded it's stuck there?

Good to hear some cow moohs from Australia! In the gallery thumbnail view you have an edit button attached to your thumb - ok, the thumb of your image of course. You can edit the description there and/or exchange the image. Of course you can delete the image as well but only after i have seen it!
