I bought the braces for V2, but I was wondering if anyone has made texture- and bump-map-based braces for the third generation Millennium figures. This seems like the best way to do this, since they are low-lying accessories and prone to fit problems. I just would like to know before I go ahead and try to paint my own. Thanks!

A simple way would be to draw little blue hexigons on the teeth of the texture and paste these as white on the bump map. Then place a really skinny torus with a silver reflection map around the whole dental arch. For best detail you could attach little box props to the individual teeth, at least the front ones, for the wire to rest on. Getting the placement of the boxes takes a bit of time. Export the torus and boxes as an .obj and bring them back as a single prop. I have done this but I can't give it to you as I lost it :( Looked pretty good. Having a touch of real geometry is nice. The V2 braces don't look too good in the promo renders, I don't know why. They just seem really flat. What do you think of them? Would you show a render?

Didn't Thorne do a set of braces for Penny Candy? Might want to ask him if he would do a larger set. Marque

"B Young" for Young Teens (at DAZ) has a braces texture.

Just wanted to say that I bought the "B Young" set, and by making a negative of the brace textures and using it as a bump map, they create a reasonable semblance of physical braces in a render. Thanks for the tip!
