Two thoughts. #1 download the Infinite demo and see wether it suits you. #2 if you have Max you maybe want to think about xFusion one day. To use that, you will need a license for Infinite anyway - which means the investments will be a little better spread out over time.

Oh, i have overseen the question about Ram.
Funny one. I have an old Windows PC in the office i often use for rendering. Scene setting on Mac, rendering for example on the old machine. By accident i stumbled now over a little program that shows all the specs of Windows machines.
Believe it or not - i found that i use a Pentium IIIE there, less than 1 MHz clock rate, 256 MB Ram. Infinite runs on it and renders. Of course i often get the "resources are low" warning (how surprising) but never ever got an oom there.
Which does not mean of course that more Ram is good to have - no question. I always would recommend minimum 1 GB when someone asks me.

hi.. im using Vue 5Pro studio for animation because ease and speed but i`ve got trouble when make animation with poser figures , especially in distribution render ( i dont know why , maybe my scene very complex) i want to know from people here about Infinite , how robust compare with another version , What animation improvement and finally... Is that true Infinite could render even with 512 mb ram ? with $199 upgrade , which worth it , go to Infinite or purchase poser to Max importer ( i have max version5)
