I know this has been asked before but I can't find it in the archives... Totally un-scientific survey, 1 question: At what screen resolution do you run your browser? I go 1280X1024 I am getting the Claymor website back up and running in it's third life and not wanting to deal with resolution changes for the moment so just checking to be sure everyone is generally running 800X600 minimum. Thanks! Claymor

1024x 768 at least thats what the laptop is set at.. if it helps you in any way..
AgentSmith posted Sun, 30 October 2005 at 9:58 PM
1024x768. But, I sometimes shoot it up to 1280x1024, only when I work in ZBrush. But, I always bring it back down for absolutely everything else. *Btw, Renderosity had this question in one of our public surveys, 1024x768 won by a large margin from what I remember. AS

800x600 is what i run it at. Just on a general note for you, if you set it at 800x600 you will find a lot of people will/can view it at that resolution. Only reason i say this is because being a game admin we tend to look at the fact that using 800x600 is easier for most people to view a site than having it set at 1024x768 or bigger.
I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

800x600 is best if you dont primarily show graphics.

Screen 1600x1200, but the browser window is about 1024x1000.

1280 x 1024, since that's the native resolution of my monitor. However, I tend to run at 1024 x 768 on a crt screen.

1280X1024 - but that's a laptop... um like most people here it seems.
Actually a lot of people seem to be buying the bigger 17" screens even for a PC - I plan to once I get home, can't go backwards can you?
Standard screen is 17" these days according to my husband the computer guy. And 1280X1024 is the optimum resolution for the 17" screens...

19" for me :) Our laptop is actually some strange resolution, because it's a widescreen, but definately bigger than 800 x 600.

1280x1024 Yet we're still advised to design our websites to fit 800x600 becuase MOST people have theirs to that setting - not even 1024x768. "Most people" meaning not computer savvy, and don't know/aren't comfortable changing the settings.
