Interesting pics - shame about the musac

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

yes, sobering.. a bit long.. but could not pull away.. the commentary was very good.. the thoughts of the photographer & his photos.. interesting how he said people were pointing out these atrocities for him to shoot.. go here, look there..

yeah, it's long but you just cannot leave it and i also liked hearing the thoughts of the photographer....the other essays are good as well.

..still on my mind.. him saying how this could happen in America.. good question :( racism is partly to blame i think.. & the "Peter Principle".. people get promoted to these high level jobs & reach their level of incompetency, having no idea how to handle such a crisis.. & so much red tape to have to cut through.. :P sad..

i must admit that looking at some of the pictures i felt that it could be of a much poorer country and yes, the question "how this could happen in America" did also cross my mind....i suppose the effect of this will be felt for years....the reasons will distorted by the politicians on all sides.

I have just watched 'Ghost Town' - absolutely fascinating - reminds us that photography can (still) be much more than just a hobby or fun.
