Looking through past posts, it seems this topic has been addressed several times, but I can't parse a definitive answer from the responses. All I wish to do is copy a V3 character created using only the DAZ morphs to the V3 reduced resolution figure. So far...
I have created an INJ pose of the original character using injection magic. This works fine on another V3, but apparently cannot work on V3 RR because this model does not use injection morphs.
I have followed the DAZ tutorial using Injection Pose Builder (V1.5) to convert the INJ pose to a "normal morph pose". It's a simple procedure, and a pose is created, but it does nothing when applied to V3 RR, or V3 for that matter. In fact, even when using IPB to create INJ poses, it has never worked for me -- again, a pose file is created, but nothing changes when applied to a figure.
I have saved the original V3 character (morphs applied) to a pose file, making sure to include the morph channels. Like the IPB method, this does not affect the morphs of either V3 RR or V3 when applied. However, it will apply the pose and expression of the original figure when it was saved (which is all I thought could be done with PZ2 files anyway).
However, others have implied that it can be done. In fact, the DAZ tutorial states this outright.
Please, if someone has accomplished this, let me know. And if it is possible, any advice on what I need to do would be appreciated. The only reason I am using the RR figures is to minimize resources for Long Shot views in sequential frames, but if I can't create approximations of the characters used in the close shots, the RR versions are pretty useless to me.
Thanks,
Mike
