I have Apollo but have been too busy with James to break him out of the runtime for anything. Mainly because there's just not enough time in the day. Now when Apollo get's his "Faceroom" addon I heard was being worked on, I'll prolly go hog wild with him.

For my own work I use a M3/David hybrid the most. I use M3 and David otherwise ... I have Apollo Maximus but I haven't really used him yet. I liked M2 back in the day but his anatomy problems stop me from using him more. James and Koji might have very specific uses but otherwise stink (I still might hack the heads off at some point to use them). Dork is long retired, Hiro doesn't fit my uses. Freak I like but only for monsters like the Hulk, etc. Don is useless. I think that is about it. Later

From the best I can tally though, M3 and David are neck to neck, unless you subtract the negatives made for M3 than David moves into the lead. M2 is in there, much to me surprise. But poor Don. I think he's still lost in space.

Male?
On those occasions when I use one, it's usually M3. Followed distantly by M2. I don't have David (although his recent Platinum Club price of $1.99 might entice me to buy him). I've never loaded Luke into a scene, although I have him -- and the only reason why I have Luke at all is due to the fact that he comes pre-bundled in a package with Laura. If Luke didn't come with Laura, then he would probably never have made it into my runtime. I've used James a couple of times. He's not bad.
For long-distance shots, I'll sometimes use various low-res figures.

I like the V3 male for everyday characters - maybe when I get a chance to play with Wardrobe Wizard "he" might even get some clothes in addition to the suits I got from PoserWorld. I do use the Dork as well, if the situation suits.
After that, it would be Mike 2 - something else I haven't properly explored is Capsces' Boris, who should expand M2's capability greatly.

BastBlack ... It is an M3 with a lot of the David morphs via Dodger. I got Daniel at Poser Pros to get the transferred morphs .. Some of them work well and it cleans up a few of the morphs I don't like about M3. I have always hated the top line of his six-pack and David's is a lot better in that regard so I use some of the muscular morphs from him. I mostly have to deal with heroic fantasy things and the combined figure works well for that. It allows me to use the tons of custom morphs I have for Michael and his clothes and better proportions (the artist proprtion guide is almost spot on with M3 with a couple of tiny changes) with the better body morphs David has.

I use Domus for P4 male too, really good update! Never use M3, I just hate these inj morphs and the harddisk space they eat. All they money I've spent on him was just one big waste.

I am such a David freak that I wardrobe wizard and use magnets on all my M3 stuff for it. It's far and away the best male poser figure, but for posability and versatility. It also muscles up quite well for those fantasy barbarian renders... Haven't used Apollo as David meets my needs enough that the need to invest in a new figure isn't necessary. I also don't like how Apollo's shoulders look in any of the renders I've seen of it...

I love David. I think he's superior in many ways to M3. I use M3 more than I'd really like to due to the kind of work I do (romance/erotica book covers) and the commercial poses (which I use as a starting point) available. Many times M3 is just the best choice for use, even though I don't like him that well (I always have to do a lot of postwork on Michael to make him look the way I want, partiularly in his strange musculature). Anyway. David. :-) bonni

M3 and M2, primary reasons being my preference for rendering images with armored chars, and the Full Metal Gothic and Fantasy conforming armors (one an M3 conformer, the other an M1/2 conformer) and the truly WIDE selection of textures for them to get diff looks for diff knight renders. I can get the M1/2 set to conform right to M3 with minimal pokethru, yet still chose to use M2 due to some face sets and conforming hairs I like to render with. However, with more of the additional morphs and conformers being avail for M3, I end up using him more than M2.

I'm pretty confident that if more people owned Apollo Maximus, they'd be listing him as "favorite" or "most used." Hasn't been out that long, though, and obviously with M3 being free and David being super-cheap for PC members, those figures will continue to be more common. I use all three. I find Apollo to be the most versatile and graceful, and agree with the majority of people who find David to be superior to M3, but I do think that M3 is a very fine mesh in spite of the aesthetic flaws. M3's neck: I almost aways set "stretch neck" to -1.0. It makes it look a bit more normal in relation to those odd traps. :-) I never use Don or James. I can see finding a use for James, but now that it exists, not sure what use there would be for Don. Does the DAZ Gremlin count as a male mesh? I'll always like that one. :-)

I'm thinking about buying Apollo, but I confess, I don't find him aesthetically appealing, so I'm not sure how much I would use him. I know you can morph him, but I've seen only one image where I really liked his body, and there's something about his face I don't like at all. I'm not sure what it is, but his eyes creep me out.
I like M3's head, sharp-featured thought it is, but don't care for his weird body. I like David's head and body. If he had a Capsces morph pack, he'd be perfect. ;-)
I love Koji, but he's a specialty character, so I can't honestly say I use him the most.

Ghostofmacbeth, I know what you mean. I saw the promo image for a new Barbarian type outfit on Daz, and I cringed at the muscle morphs on M3. They didn't use to bother me until I saw muscles done better. Now I cringe. If don't know if you have them already, Khrys' muscle morphs for M3 do wonders, as do Capsces' Brom morphs. I used UMT (Universal Morph Tranfer) to take David morphs to M3, but I'm finding I like Hiro's morphs even more! That's why I've been working on a Hiro/M3 crossover. He's more trim muscluar than the bulky muscluar like David, Apollo, M2, and Freak. bB

Domus includes versatile head and body morphs
Domus uses the p4 male clothes as well
renders fast and Domus is free
then i use M3 , David and James for stills
since i hate INJection and DELTAS techno mess
I love every figure that comes with its head and body morphs included,
wich I can freely re-arrange, remove or strip to taste using Morph Manager
Figures like Narcisus/Pitklad's Domus and NEA brings new life to existing P4 figures, and with the p5-6 firefly polygon smooting they look awesome and smooth at low polygon cost !!!

For everyday stuff I always gravitate back to Don Casual: compact mesh, clothes that a human might wear to King Soopers, and a very versatile face. I never unpacked M3 (just as I unpacked and then forgot about V3): they are both wa-a-a-ay too much trouble for the little return, a pair of vacuous, spa-buffed TV spokesmodels. They manage to make even normal clothes look like a costume they haven't had time to get used to. I'd be using James more if he were enough better than Don to warrant switching, and AM more if I could justify the investment in clothes or WW. I'd have to say my "favorite" male, in terms of appeal and usability, is Don, with M2 a close second. But then, my favorite females are Steph 2 and Jessi, and I like Judy.... M

Reading Warpo and Wolf359 comments... If you (and a lot of other people) hate with a passion the morph injection system and are accostumed to use Morph Manager anyway, why don't you just inject all the morphs in M3 or V3 and save a new Cr2 in the library. That way you would have complete models like M2 and V2 and you could throw away all the "support file bloathware" :) and with Poser 5 or 6 you could rearrange the morphs in groups too. I mean I don't have problem with the inject technology, but if I had this would be my solution. A quick solution too. That said I too don't like M3 injection or not... Anyway, I was just curious...

Have to throw a big vote in for Apollo Max. I've worked wih all these characters for my illustrations and Apollo is without a doubt the most morphable and flexible character, in terms of getting him to look like I want that is out there. Add to that the less bloat than a DAZ3 version character as Wolfie says and there really isn't a question. Apollo hasn't let me down yet.

if using a male, i go for the v3 male. M3, though there's clothes and textures for him, his shoulders just kill it for me. They are the most unnaturalistic rubber things i've ever seen. David's okay, more realistic, but not as flexible as the v3 male. To me the advantages of v3 male are the face injections, that the others just dont have! Nordic, celtic, french to name a few. No one really notices in a picture that the body under clothes is the same or not, but the face? LOL.... faces are very personal. The "dainty hands" which i can totally relate, i fix simply with ye ol dial of "scale", makes a big difference in scaling the hand and finger joints
