looking at the short-list, i just had to wonder what the judges saw. Granted, these images are very small, so i shouldn't judge, but really, from the little i see, i just don't get it.

sure would love to see someone in here enter and win this baby!!!!

You reading this Pacalou? :) Sheila, I was a bit confused by the 25 and under thing until I read that it is a separate contest. Thanks for sharing!

kort...oh ok...yeah, i see what you're saying! thanks! Marlene...either they're winners or finalists or something. strange. i can't find info to see if the contest is still open, but if it is, i'd sure like to see someone here enter. if not this year then maybe next year.

Find me that info, and I'll enter with something. :) I think those photos they show are decent, but not top 60 quality perse. Maybe larger versions would look more impressive.

Looks like you had to enter by July. I don't see info on how to enter now, but will bookmark to check back for next year.

I think maybe they are confusing by being shown in the National Portrait Gallery, perhaps better suited to Tate Modern where you would more expect to find conceptual artwork.

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.
