I need an Oscar statuette for my next image. The only one I can find is here in Renderosity freestuff, but the problem is that this one is a Strata file, and I can't open it or use it in Bryce. If anyone knows where I can find an Oscar, I'd be happy to know about it!

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

You're my hero!! I'm truly amazed and honored that you actually took time and effort to do this for me :) I can't believe the helpfulness I've met here during my 6 or 7 months here... Thank you so much! I hope I can do it justice..

Yeah, ya gotta love the guy! Wow, tjohn, I was feeling pretty smug about some success I've had lately using altitude renders, but you've blown my admittedly small mind with this one. Looks fabulous!

@ANG 'May I ask... How is it done?' 1 Become an actor 2 Get picked to star in a really big movie - Gone With The Rings - Lord of the Wind - Car Stores - Sleeping Pussy Croaching Elephant etc 3 Suck up to as many big time Hollywood VIPs as you can two days before Oscar Night. (Sleep with them if necessary) 4 Win an Oscar for Best Anything You Can Think Of. 5 Take Pic of your oscar with a digital camera 6 Convert to B&W with PSP/PS 7 Import pic to Bryce Terrain Ed. 8 Fiddle with settings to suit 9 Render at gas mark 5 for 6 hours. 10 Post here! Sorry, but I've got a head cold and things are just a bit blurred atm.

Ang: I laid the poser figure on its back on the ground plane, and did a altitude mask render in the top view. Then rotated it 180 degress to get the other side. Then loaded the images from those two renders one at a time onto terrains into the terrain editor, smoothed a few times and painted out the ears. I had to manipulate the height and other proportions relative to the two terrains for a best fit of the two parts. (They're still not a perfect fit. But as long as you don't aim the camera directly from the side, it looks OK). Bryce is very versatile, and can do a lot of things you won't find in any manual. :^) Der Bryster: Whatever your doctor has you on, cut the dose, Dude. Or don't...different strokes, LOL.

OhMyGosh, I didn't want an Oscar lol. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I have my daughter next to me also not feeling well. :( Everybody is getting sick. Hope you feel better soon and send me whatever meds you're taking when you're done being sick. Thanks Tjohn, I will have to try that technique. I think that the most critical part for me is knowing how to "Do" the altitude mask. Thats one of those button on the left side in bryce right?
