I have a transparent Square with a solid grid on it. In P4, the grid casts shadows but the transparent parts don't. However, in P5 Firefly rendering, the entire square casts a shadow. How do I fix the rendering in P5 so only the grid has shadows? (If this has been covered in a different message, please direct me to the post.) Thanks.

Turn on raytracing and set your shadow casting lights to use raytraced shadows.

Wait... I thought I saw it mentioned somewhere that the reason shadow maps were so slow to calculate in Poser is because the algorythm it uses for them takes into account transparent materials. Has this been changed in Firefly?

Thanks Ajax. So there's no way to make this work with Depth Shadows?

The P4 render engine, on the other hand, acts as you've described.
