Wanted to say thank you to those who have complimented my challenge entry. I went to the river with the intention of capturing some silhouttes of boats thinking it would be a good high contrast place. The kiter seemed a good opportunity. He was a friendly guy and very co-operative in helping out by coming in close, and patient too while I fumbled around trying to get correct settings. For the technical: the shots were made by using centre weighted metering with - 1 1/3rd exposure compensation. All shot with camera set on smallest aperture and close focussed. Typical shutter speed on a bright day was about 1/800th. Maybe something I will have try again sometime, here is a small sample from the 17 shots I did manage to get.

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.
