I have Poser 6 and have made my first texture for V3, including eyes and lips. I'd like to use MPE to apply these but at present I'm using the Material room to carry out the changes. I've added the various texture variations (makeup, eye/lip colour etc) to the Material library. So far so good. However, I've seen posts saying how easy it is to use MPE. When I try to use it though I have no options to use P6 or V3 - and to be honest I don't know just where to start. Can someone help, or is using the Material Room the best option? Thanks in advance for help.

I saw a really basic tutorial for using MPE in the Tutorials here at Rendo. Edited: link added. This one seems to use an older version of MPE and uses V2 with P5, but the route is identical for V3 and P6 (P6 Material Room is very similar to that of P5, in opposite to P4). Remember to set up a proper configuration in General Settings or whatever it is called in newest MPE version. Edited for second time: link to newer MPE tut. http://www.renderosity.com/tut.ez?Form.ViewPages=606 This one uses V3 Morphing Collar as an example, but the route is exactly the same, doesn't matter if it's a piece of conforming clothing, human or animal figure. Just remember V3 uses more than just one texture map.Message edited on: 11/06/2005 10:04

Kinda cold coloured make-up, but I like the combination. I do hope those tutorials will help you - I've learned much from both. Forums are always helpful :-). Good luck.

thanks for your help - I think I've sussed out part of the problems I'm having - I've got P6 with a P5 runtime attached but no P5 installed - therefore, the folder locations may contradict themselves - at least that's my reading of the situation. Will see if I can still do things as per existing setup which suits me best, and will repost if I get in a knot ;-)

Thanks guys, have got textures/pose applied nicely, but I'm having to tweak my eye textures to my liking - I think I'll probably do that in the Material Room.
