I wonder if there is a way I can use brushes made for Photoshop CS in Photoshop 7. Or if there is some kind of program which can convert them so they will be Photoshop 7 compatible? I bought a brush-set, and did not read the System Requirements good enough, so they won't work in Photoshop 7.0, since they are made for CS. Does anyone now if it's possible to convert them to work in PS7? Thank you so much in advance :)

Have you tried them at all in PS7? I've made brushes in CS and have been able to use them in either CS or PS7. I don't know of a program that would translate them if that doesnt work.

Hi Tiari :) Thank you so much for your reply:) Yes, I have tried them, and an error window shows up with the following text" Could not load the brushes because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop" So guess the merchant has used some kind of effects or something that is not availible in Photoshop 7.0. They are in abr format, but does not work for that version unfortunately. Anyway, thank you so much for taking your time to answer me :)

Do you have the 7.0.1 upgrade for PS 7, maybe that would work :) Tihomir

Brushes won't work "backwards".

you need to have someone with CS "stamp" various blank areas on a page with each brush and save the layered file. Open this in ver7 and "re"define the brushes.

as far as i know, Adobe has not released any plugin or program to convert brushes.
