I remember a site last year selling a bundle with a toon santa workshop, santa, reindeer, snow covered trees, elves n such, but I'll be damned if google will cough up the link. Any ideas?

Could this be the one?Acadia posted Tue, 08 November 2005 at 8:57 PM
Yep! Poser Works. Pam's brother does the designing of them. Cute as all heck!!! I got the Santa Workshop during their sale, and picked up the rest of their Christmas models last week. I'm having a blast with them!

Yep, it was poserworks. I wonder if they'll be doing a bundle sale again this year?

I don't know. I thought about that too, but I didn't want to wait until the last minute to get christmas things done. I guess you can call or email Pam and ask her.

The Santa Workshop is so adorable, but $50 is a bit too much for me....:>)

It is adorable. Yes, $50.00 is "expensive" for virtual pixels, but I look at it from a business point of view. There is a high amount of detail in it, and it must have taken a very long time to make. If it took 10 hours to make, that's only $5.00 per hour. Teenage babysitters where I live make more than that per hour. I also imagine that it took many more hours than 10 to design, model and texture. So if you look at it that way, I doubt they are charging anything near what they could be or should be, in order to recoupe their time.

But I feel the need to make up for lost time. ;)Hi Gang!
Its high time I show up, huh? First, let me start with the price of the Workshop. Its true that it is $50-, HOWEVER, it is currently on sale on our site and at Content Paradise for $35-. BUT THEN, our 4 X-mas Toon Collection Specials range from $34- to $65- u.s. While this still may be a bit steep for some :(many?) its not just 2 or 3 static models in each collection, but rather an array (oh how melodramatic of me with the array LOL! ; ) of fully functional, beautifully texture mapped models/model sets. Ill use the X-mas Workshop Set #2 as an example. Here is what you get with it:
Santa's Workshop
Exterior and Interior are both completely finished and beautifully textured in toon style fashion. Interior includes brick fireplace and loft. All walls and roof are separate sub-objects that can be moved, removed, or hidden and front door opens and closes. Exterior roof, porch, 2 signs, and 3-piece Weathervane (all working parts) are all separate movable sub-objects of the workshop. The Outhouse has its own .obj file and can be used as a separate stand-alone model outside the Workshop. Outhouse door also opens.
Tools Set (for the little elves to make the toys with)
-1 set of 6 paint cans all with unique texture maps and removable lids
-1 glue bottle with glue drop as a sub-object that can be moved or hidden.
-1 vice grip with 3 working/movable parts
-1 pair of pliers, also poseable
-1 putty knife
-1 tack hammer
-1 saw
All items are separate movable sub-objects within this set
Scenic Toon Ground Cover
-2 snowy background scenes
-6 unique toon trees
All trees and ground cover items have their own .obj file and are separate stand-alone models
that can be used outside the Workshop.
Workshop Furnishings
-1 large workbench (1-piece benches and table)
-1 small worktable
-4 lit candles with holders
-1 fireplace grate with burning Yule logs
-1 ladder to workshop loft
Furnishings are all separate movable sub-objects of this set. The model set is a separate
stand-alone model with its own .obj file that can be used outside the Workshop model file.
Antique Lanterns
-2 two-piece antique lanterns with pivots set at the top of the ring that attaches the lamp and
the bracket (as they are separate sub-objects within this set.) The lamp and ring portion detach from the bracket to be used as hand-carry lanterns. With brackets, the lanterns were designed to also fit on the front porch of Santa's Workshop, but can be copied and used as needed. Lanterns Set is a separate stand-alone model with its own .obj file and can be used outside the Workshiop
Lunaman
-1 full spherical model with the cartoon man in the moon on one face and craters and ground
cover and terrain on the dark side of the moon. Lunaman is a separate stand-alone model
with its own .obj file that can be used outside the Workshop.
IW Lights
-1 Custom IW Lights Set also included.
And Im really not being a wise-acre here when I say that a GREAT deal of work went into creating our characters and bringing our x-mas "toon" world to life. But we do love our little guys and hope you all do too. ;)
FYI #1:
While Im here, I have to tell you how very PROUD I am of the Poser community and all of our loyal customers. We have been creating models for the Poser market for a little over 4 years now and in that time, we have NEVER had ONE fraudulent purchase or ONE chargeback EVER! That says so much about the integrity of the people here. My hat is off to you and my heartfelt appreciation goes out to each and every one of you.
FYI #2:
We may have a couple of new toon items coming your way after the holidays. Theyre from the little 3d cartoon short we did. If anyone cares to take a peek at the website I built to promote it, (actually, I built it to make my life easier so I can just refer inquiries to the link rather than attach and send image and document requests. ;) the link is attached. http://www.santascamels.com/
FYI #3:
We too, have added a little donation to the mix here at Renderosity for their Holiday Giveaway to thank all of you who help support all of us all year long. We God love you and WEVE ALL GOT TO LOVE THESE GUYS HERE AT RENDEROSITY! THEYRE THE BEST!
Love Yall.
