I just installed the Poser ProPack which I think is a very nice addition indeed. However try to install the 3DMax "plugin". The installation says I don't have Max installed on my system. But I do have Max4 complete with CStudio3 and all. The install does not give a choice to browse to the Max directory (C:3dsmax4) Any ideas?

PPP isn't compatible with Max 4 yet ... patiently waiting though. 8-) In the meantime do you have Max 3.1? Works with that.

The MAX Pro-Pack installer isn't very user-friendly as far as options are concerned. I can't say that this WILL WORK in MAX4 (since I don't have it), but you can try this trick: Rename your MAX4 EXE to 3DSMAX.EXE and the installer will "find" it. It also uses a simple TXT file to point to the PoserPP directory, which you can edit... After install, rename your MAX4 EXE to it's correct name...

I believe that the people at Curious Labs need at least six months to a year to make any changes. Check back in Fall of 2001 when the MAX 4 plugin might be ready- but probably early 2002...

Max 4 came out as we were getting ready to ship Pro Pack. We are currently working on a Max 4 plug-in, which will be released as part of the upcoming Pro Pack update. I have no exact dates, but it will be soon. Max 4 incorporates a lot of changes from 3.1 and needs its own plug-in. Anthony Hernandez Curious Labs
