CAN THIS BE RIGHT?
A colleague built an extended intersection (some streets and houses, some posts and billboards, etc.) for a project I'm working on. He exported from Rhino as a 3DS. It imported to Vue all in one layer together.
So far, no problem. I can group the objects into layers on my own. But when I drag anything into a new layer, Vue moves it to the side. WTF!?! Now I have a train crosing sign that's exploded like some kind of forensics display.
Is there some property I need to address? Or is this just another undocumented feature (like constantly crashing any doc with more than 500,000 polys) that I get to enjoy and work around?
Any help, greatly appreciated...

I recently noticed this in Vue 5 Esprit when I was trying to move a lake surface to a new layer so I could hide it from the render (which in Esprit you can't do like in Pro/Infinate). I would definately report this to eon directly through tech support as it is a bug.

That's both what I thought was going to be the case, AND a bummer...
