Hi
Now knows photograph very intensively I like you maybe already since over one year, personally I have spares over 12.000 pictures with my new D70 done. A quite remarkable performance like I finds.
But now, is to be done something I you ALL to him/it wanted to ask, is completely particularly they under you the skilled photographer or also practices this occupation respectively.
Shortly still something to my momentary situation. I try 5 already since good. now, is to the end on that occasion 6 years to find an education-place now come out this house-managers I learns (now is in the third year).
After this year, I would like to hang another teachings gladly at it because I want to do to the occupation my hobby, and because I believe, that this work could be me well.
Now yes, before good five weeks has applied me also with a place-known photographer I.
Well something should say I, ne smooth cancellation. I am clever like I wants of course knows something this for a reason had, the answer to it shocked me, .Bei of so many applications on a place is looked only at the application-picture in the first phase, and whoever become sort us sympathetically out."
Something similar only happened twice to me until now in the 5 years that one is directed because of his/its outer one merely.
Well yes, on everyone falls has had given me I photographer a photo-date with the same, so that a more professional things can photograph me. As the date was last Friday, I have in the conversation with him/it only experiences this the photography to 90 percent from such hires he/it passes them/her/it had done exactly with me, the wording was in approximately so, .Fotografie doesn't have much to do with creativity." And still he/it had rather meant this I in this occupation I should remain straight in him/it is, because however, the occupation should be aisle so badly and so photographer.
However now to my question, can YOU confirm this statement?
However, the whole conversation with him/it has discourage me very much and I at all no more wisely now something I then now should do, in the occupation remains, or another education?
I only am helpless.
Hi
Tja was soll ich sagen, ne glatte Absage.

The translation from German is a bit sketchy, but I gather that you looked into photography as a profoession and see how competetive it is and that creative work isn't embraced. That all depends, but yes, he is probably correct for that type of photography. Still, if it is your passion, persue it. Your work is excellent and I believe you could do well in the field of photography. I hope these statements apply to your question, good luck Adrian!

I wish I could come up with an answer to what you said here, but the translator is quite unclear as to what you mean.
"The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the
absence but in the mastery of his passions."

Liegt vielleicht an seiner eigenen Einstellung.

a new translation thanks to Drea71 Hi, as you might know Ive been photographing quite intensively for over a year now. With my new D70 I have already taken over 12.000 images, which I personally find quite impressive. But now theres something I want to ask ALL of you, especially as there are som professionals among you: First something about my personal situation: Since 5-6 years Ive been trying to find a training postion and for the last 3 years Ive been a trainee in the domestic economy-field. After having finished that Id love to turn my hobby into a profession, because I think thats something Id like very much. I contacted a local photographer and asked for a trainee position, but he rejected me. I asked him why, and the answer was quite a shock: He said that because he received so many applications that he usually only takes a look at the photo that goes along with those and then sends back those files where he doesnt think the person who sent it to be likeable. This has only happened to me twice in the last 5 years that I was only judged by the way I loook. Anyway I made an appointment with him to take a professional photo of me. Talking to him last Friday at the appointment I found out that photography was about 90% what he was doing with me right then. He said something like photography doesnt have anything to do with creativity and he said Id better stick to the job I was doing right now, because being a photographer was not good at all. Now heres my question: Is that also what YOU say? That conversation rather discouraged me and I now have no clue what to do. Stick with my old job or try to find another trainee position?

And I'd say the guy's a jerk! I couldn't disagree more with him and I don't think u should let him discourage u! Photography and creativity DO work together IMHO and should go with what u think and feel is right for u! Nobody can tell u what to do with ur life but urself! So don't give up! ;)
