In this exciting(?) episode, we will make some IK chains for DoggieBot and see how they can be used for making some pretty neat poses.
If you want to know how we got to Page 91 ... CLICK HERE to go back to Pages 81-90.

91 pages? Making a russian wolfhound bot? :)
Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

as Dr. Geep heads for the first '3 digit' number-of-steps tutorial, a point only surpassed by 'the Rumanian', in another forum..;) Hey, if this be the knowledge of the Ancients, then play on..

I am still following your series, Prof Geep. The rest of the class thinks: 1. It's worth more than the tuition fees they paid 2. Duh... wha... fell asleep during tutorials... 3. Did I sign up for this class ?....

Staying the course.. Cheers, Diolma PS: BTW, Doc, RE: "Crusts" at end of previous part of tutorial, it was a play on words that I probably shouldn't have used due to internationality of audience. But to clarify: "Crufts" is the top UK dog-show. Prizes coveted by breeders, 'cos it allows them to increase their prices...
geep posted Tue, 22 November 2005 at 8:46 AM
Ah yes, me should've known that since my sis-in-law (in the UK) participates in Crufts. Must've been tired when that one "flew by." Sorry. ;=[

Errm - should have been spelt "bull's-eye" (according to Chambers English Dictionary 1990 edition)? (But then you ex-colonists have always made free with UK spellings, so I'm probably wrong - don't have Websters at hand...)
Cheers,
Diolma
Edited due to mis-spellings.....

Just for the record ...
The correct (dictionary) spelling is ...
"bull's-eye"
... according to the source used by the Associated Press.

Ah, well. I took my cue from the (apparent) clue: "glaring error". Seemed it could have had something to do with the bull's-eye. Probably got blinded by the tiny spark, and missed the atom-bomb... Cheers, Diolma
geep posted Tue, 22 November 2005 at 4:37 PM
Here's a clue ... the error is in the text and the text is (almost) the same size as the "Bullseye" text.
Well, one of them is anyway.

DRAT! Don't have time to both examine page 82 with magnifying glass and also watch the news... Guess I'll have to give up on this one, 'cos watching the news is (at this present moment in time, to quote a cliche), my major consideration. Then I hit the sack. Cheers, Doc. Take care, CU tomorrow. Diolma

LOL@Doc... Actually ALL my projects are WIPs:-) Everytime I start a new one, I save it in a sub-folder (often with a name that I've forgotten 2 days later) and in there I go 00.pz3, 01.pz3 02.... as the project progresses. As soon as I get somewhere 1/2-way decent, I delete some of the intermediate files... Still got approx 200 WIPs (that is WIP Folders, not individual saves) hanging about. Every now and then I have a purge, but I HATE throwing anything away, 'cos it might, just possibly, just slightly possibly might come in useful some day... Cheers, Diolma

"Well, .......... do you know what it is that we need to do?" My guess would be: 1. Move "box_1, box_4, Head and cone_1" in the hierarchy under DoggieBot (in the appropriate places) and 2. Rename them appropriately (except for Head)... Not necessarily in that order.. (1. includes moving box_1 and box_4 under "Head..") Cheers, Diolma Who promises NOT to have peeked.. and if the answer is wrong, I guess that'll prove it..:-)) )
geep posted Fri, 02 December 2005 at 4:25 PM
Sorry di ... we don't need to move anything in the Hierarchy Editor (unless you're using P4).
That is done by the bone structure and the order.
Rename them ... YES!
