In the year 3275, when humans' craniums have evolved to adapt to removing nails and staples ...

Is she posable?

AgentSmith posted Wed, 23 November 2005 at 8:13 AM

No, they are not posable as of yet. (That I can see) It starts up with a figure and then you start playing with any of the 806 various parametric morphing targets...;oD And, then you could take it into your main program (higher-end users), and sculpt on it, rig it, etc. Whenever their next release comes out, they will be somewhere behind Daz Studio. For now, its just more cool free stuff to play around with. ;o) AS

Has anyone tried mover to see if you can seed the bones from another poser character?

Electro, do you mean Vue's Mover, an animation add-on program? Since the meshes produced by MakeHuman are not based on Poser or DAZ "unibody" meshes I would say that the chances of using their bone rigs are at the least highly unlikely. Guess I'll have to learn to "bone" these by hand.

There is a prog at the origanal site called "auto-rigger". It is from the same people and its free and Im trying to find the dumb link...How can 1 misplace a link?

Objaction Mover 1.01 by Maz lets you take bones from poser characters and insert them into other characters. Old Mayadoll and arduinos stuff required them. Search for Mover in freestuff. I think you have to have the same names on the geometries like hip, left pinkie, etc. They also have to be in the same zero pose (arms straight out hands spread) and the same size meshes. I'll try it but I haven't been able to download the beta yet. I rerigged the filosnail model from traugs in my setup room because the bones were about half again as big as the model. It really helps to have a set of human bones in place even if you have to tweak them by hand.
