Let me try again!! I might get the right image in the right place in a minute!! After trying to add words to objects i wonder if i could grab your advise on how better this image (linked) could be. Grasshopper needs help! Cheers my friends. Marc ================================================ draculaz: i think it's a very good POV and an excellent idea, i'd just seriously increase the quality of the jpeg and the table mat. also maybe lose the clouds in the sky. ===================================================== marcfx: I was trying to find a semi-nice texture to enhance the lenses on it, I had tried stone, wood, metal. Also, with no clouds or other objects in the sky the reflection in the glass seem to be a bit drab. I have tried many views to get something in the glass but to keep the POV to the lenses. I certainly agree with your words on the JPeg....it looks terrible when uploaded.....looked OK in the Bryce screen! ========================================================= Re: Camera Lenses WIP by danamo on 11/24/05 16:38 Very nice work indeed Marc! I like the POV, and think the clouds are fine and they help to make the lenses look more 3D. Maybe if you used a terrain for the base and applied a material with a matching "bump" map to use as the heightmap? I know it works best with a picture file that matches the rez of your terrain, such as 512x, 1024x etc. It would add a subtle realism IMO. =================================================

Thankyou both. @Danamo I'm just glad this isnt a finished image. The more i look into it, the more i see wrong.....Its always nice to have other views just incase its just my eyes! Appreciate the advise and will try other images. Thankyou. Marc

For starters, put a new image texture on the ground.

Cool looking filters, but it appears the retaining ring has worked loose on the number 2 blue filter.

@MoonGoat Yep, Drac mentioned that too.......already being done.......thankyou @UVDav I had looked at this really closely in Bryce and the only thing that i could find was the reflection that made it look like it wasnt jioned together properly.......'trick of the light' my wife says.....but, it doesnt look right and i will learn from this not to place a certain light there next time!.......... Thankyou guys.....learning a lot again. Marc :)

marc you may not want to add this but it might give the eye something else to look at. You notice all your are the same only glass colour is different. Add a larger lens or camera in there say just to the back and off to the left of the image so you get the reflection in that top left hand lens. Its nice work but it looks boring like that, sorry mate that was the best/nicest way i could say it :)

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

I totally agree with you CD, I am trying to build that camera right now........might even try a 300mm lens too. I appreciate the honesty and thats the only way i can learn. Thanks again. Marc :)
