It isn't finished but I need a bit of constructive criticism. I will be adding a couple of more dragons to this image as well as a little fire breathing from at least one of them. I have been dabbling with Bryce for about a year and this is my 4th serious image outside my toying around to see what does what. I can not honestly say where all my models came from as I have picked them up here and there. If any of them belong to you a great big thanks for making them available. So now let me have it. Thank you in advance for your helpful observations.

Great start! The large trees in the foreground have good bark texture, but the one on the left is too smooth. The tree to the right has a lot of floating leaves- this can be fixed post. Last, the castle is a great start (looks like it is all primitives- I would recommend some windows and those bumpy things on castle walls (tech term!) Maybe use either Boolean or alpha map and just work on the distance blur as you go. This is a great start, even a pretty good finish even so applaud you wanting to get it just right. Andrew

I am so impressed by the detail. The water adds so much to the picture, & makes it seem more real. I agree that windows will add to the castle. A fabulous picture! bjjens

Dragon could be a bit more prominent. Right wing at first looked like a leaf on the tree. Maybe make the trees farther apart and the dragon larger? Looks great so far. Fantastic!

A few suggestions: On the trees redo the mesh texture for the leaves and make the brances a bit thicker they dont really show up in the foreground trees. Raise the frequency of the castle wall texture to make it appear more realistic and distant, same deal with the other textures on the castle. Vary the hieghts of the towers, not many castles are completely symmetrical Maybe darken the sky a little The concept is awesome, but you asked for some constructive cristizism and there it is. Re-post the work when yo uhave made corrections I would love to see the final version!

For some added detail on the castle you might want to try Gunther Berkus's Fantasy Architecture Kit at http://www.bryce-alive.net/download/default.html - link is on the left towards the bottom. Also some kind of ground clutter on the forest floor might be interesting. This is a great picture Swade - nice composition and I like your choice of textures. Jade

Yes I did ask for the criticism, and I appreciate what each of you had to say. Some of your observations escaped my eye . I am not real fluent with Bryce and the 3D graphics work but with people like you that are willing to give great help I can be just that much better. I will post a finished image for you to critique again. Thank you all for your resopnses. Swade :o)

Where did you ever get such good trees in Bryce?
