My aspiration: to make a decent Poser Render I'm an Oldie, a goldie, but not a miracle worker :-)

It will help those of us only on 17" monitors if we could have more of a closeup of the skin please

It's better not to put skin or eye highlights on the texture maps themselves. Highlights should be generated using the lighting in the scene. When you incorporate highlights on the texture, they will only be right for one single lighting/scene setup! A node setup that generates the right highlights and sheen - take a look at the work by face_off (Paul Kinnane). I don't know the link to his site by heart, but he has written an excellent tutorial on how to use P5/P6 material nodes to generate appropriate subsurface scattering, highlights and bumps/displacements.
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
