So, I've been working on a 'holiday' sort of render, and everything has been going on swimmingly. There are five 'characters' in the scene, which is relatively large, and they've all been renamed, so I can keep track (better than figure 1, Figure 2, etc). This hasn't been a problem for me in the past. I'm having a strange problem, though. Yesterday, I did a preliminary render, saved, and quit... (Sorry for the weird nudity and lack of textures.)

Today, after having done nothing but add some pants and textures for various family members, I can't get head morphs. The parameter dials SAY they have values other than 0, but no one's face will move. Now, grandpa is the only one having any fun (and that could be because grandma got young and pretty). Anyone recognize the symptoms, or could give me some advice? I'm DREADING starting over, this this took me forever to assemble. :/

Poser 5 or 6? Latest service release?

This often happens when you have multiple unimesh figures in the scene. You're going to have to load each one with morphs, save it to the figures library as a cr2, then reload from there. You should be able to copy down the dial settings from the existing pz3 so at least you don't have to create the faces again. You also should be able to save the poses from the pz3 to the Pose library so you can reapply them to your morphed figures.

It sorta looks like P6 with external morph targets turned on.. and then some of those external files either deleted or corrupted. If that's the case, I'm afraid you WILL have to start over. And start by turning off "external morph targets" for the future... if you're NOT using P6 with external morph targets I have no idea. Some weird crosstalk perhaps? Not sure.

Try to apply the headmorphs again. Looks like having the dials in but not the morphs.

If it is the P6 external morphs problem, you can often fix it by re-injecting the morphs. One of the benefits of injectable morphs.

Thanks for all your respones, guys. Yes, it's P6 SR1. (I just installed SR2 last night - 28 mbs takes FOREVERRRR to download on dialup!) Anyway. I've never encountered this external morph targets issue, before. This is something I should turn off in the options, and leave off?

Yes, turn it off and leave it off! It serves no real purpose other than making the files easier to corrupt!

The external morph targets are great, but only for morph injections, so keep them switched off unless you will create morphs for P6 only.
