This is probably old news but you can turn your tool bars (preview modes and editing tools) sideways by alt clicking on an item in the bar. This works in P6. Don't know about earlier versions.

Yeah..it works for all versions...well...at least back to version 3 when I started. It's actully very nice now with dual monitor capability (P5 and P6) Tom

I have mine positioned vertically along the left side of my screen. It makes for much more room to place the window. I didn't care for the default placement of things at all.

Hmmm...didn't work for me, but that's ok...I'm so lost with most of P5 I don't poke at those areas I don't understand.

Hold down the "ALT" key and double click the words above the tool bar you want to change direction of. Then release the ALT key. If the tool bar is hidden and only the words show, just left click on the words and it should show in the new direction. It took me a few tries to get it to work. The main thing is to hold down "ALT" while clicking the words above the tool bar.

Mason, Acadia, these little tips are always nice to have. Now if anyone could ever tell me how to make my library folders appear as straight text without the dumb folder icon... I hate the space the icons takes when I just want to scroll quickly to my sub folders.
