i have a problem downloading the Planetary Mining Frieght Transporter, download starts fine then within 2 seconds its finished and there is no file there..the zip file error is File corrupt...not meaning the file you have is corrupt, just the full download wasn't there..
I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

I echo CrazyDawg's statement...the Greebles lattice did fine but the planetary Ring and the shuttle did not D/L. they are empty zips. I'll try some other time.

Greebles, planetary ring and shuttle downloads worked fine for me... Pidjay, the stuff you do with terrains is very scary - in a brilliant way! NIce looking site by the way Garry

Crazydawg... be sure to choose "save" and not "open" after clicking the download button!
CrazyDawg posted Tue, 06 December 2005 at 5:31 AM
pidjy, after 7 years on the internet i think i would know how to download something by now...only files i click "open" on are those that are for the system EG: drivers when i update them. I'll give the download a try later as i'm downloading two files at the moment and one is going to take 3 hours to get..

lol@marcfx.. the tut should take place in the photoshop forum.. but should I really teach you how to draw lines, squares and circles with photoshop?.. because it's nothing but that. 8-p
marcfx posted Tue, 06 December 2005 at 8:34 AM
@pidjy Ah, but its HOW you draw them, thats the secret!! LOL Just try explaining how you convert it into the finish product.......now that IS a secret isnt it? ;))

marcfx i have just tried downloading them again..i got 24.8KB of the greebles download then the download finished. I tried downloading the Mine Transporter thingy(sorry forget name) after 13 minutes the download finished neither of them we the full download file. I got the planet ring without any problems earlier. PS: Yes i did click on save and not open ;) I don't use any download accelerators, i find they cause more problems than they are worth.

@CrazyDawg Are you using a modem (slowish) or broadband? If you can except emails of 17.9MB (pidjy's largest file) then IM me with your email address and I'll send them to you. IF NOT, I can break the files down to a smaller amount of around 2MB and try that for you. (If pidjy doesnt mind and I'm not breaking any laws!!) Marc.

Well... this is what I got. Dunno if the sizes are right or not: Greebles.zip 957 KB HFS.zip 17.6 MB Ring.zip 9.9 MB Stones.zip 13.5MB Bug.zip 4.90 MB But the only one that didn't open is the Ring... Downloading again now and that Ring.zip should have been 18.3 MB... Yup, worked okay the second time on the Ring.

marc i got the planet ring earlier and it was the correct size. the HFS and Greebles are the only ones that i'm having troubles getting, haven't tried the stone texture download as of yet. PS: I'm on a 56 modem, not usually a problem with downloading...just downloaded 43MB file, took nearlly 3 hours to get though ;) Want to get broadband but the wife wont network so i'm in a jam..

@CD 56 modem, thats a bummer........i have 1MB broadband from our satellite TV company..doesnt use the phone lines! but it still took over 5 minutes to download the largest file...might be a bug in the system.

@Fran, I left the "lights" in the transporter and the bug model, I've exported them too fast, gonna correct this. Thank you for telling me about troubles. @CrazyDawg, I'm really sorry that you can't just download the HSF and Greebles files... I'm looking for a way to make those files available for all.
TheBryster posted Wed, 07 December 2005 at 7:13 AM
Pidjy: That greeble.....is it meant to be used on its own or does it match up to itself if you put two together etc...?

@Bryster you can put some together but it wont "match" because this one is not "seamless"
