I think it's important to speak out your mind no matter what the consequences, if:

a) you do so with an objective view on the matter. i don't believe having an agenda is necessarily wrong, as long as the arguments you bring and the points you make are perfectly valid.

b) you explain things logically and dispassionately.

c) you respect the person or the subject to an extent.

d) irony is fine as long as it doesn't become personal.

and that's that. the whole argument over this forum not being some place to air out dirty laundry in my mind is communistic and vile, it's wrong and absolutely idiotic. people who say that should be shot. nobody's airing out dirty laundry, in most cases the issues presented have perfectly valid points in our 3D hobbies. and what's more, you always have to present a third point in an argument, regardless if it makes sense or not, simply to enforce what you first said and possibly make it logical so that the people getting shot thing above doesn't sound too strong. that said, thank you for your attention and i wish you jolly holidays and all that :) drac

Hi Drac, I read you at WOB and admire your convictions. I don't always agree with you but that is what freedom is about...freedom to believe what one wants to, not what one is dictated to believe. You display fairness in your opinions and a willingness to hear the other side. Also enjoy your sense of humor, though not always obvious. I am not a confrontationist and have the curse of wanting to make everyone happy. We know that's not possible so someday they'll just pack me away in a straight jacket :) In the mean time, I'll let you sit in the hot seat and enjoy the ride from the cheap seats :D Thanks for stirring the pot for us.
