Since Blade Runner, foggy/smokey/misty interiors & exteriors are all the rage for SF/Fantasy/Mystery genres. How does one do that in Poser (6) beside using Nerd's Fog Deluze?

First, buy Vue... ;-)

If you've been to Nerd's site...did you check out his volumetric atmosphere tutorial? He wrote it for Poser 5, but should work for P6, too.

Do you have a link to Nerd's site?

You have to register to download the freebies. Not sure about the tutorials.

He's got some excellent tutorials there. Thanks for the link. I particularly liked his "glow" technique. I do something similar, but his results are better than what I seem to get. So I'm going to try it his way next time.

I have Nerd's fog tool and use it frequently. It isn't the smoky misty general feel I want in a number of shots. Thanks to theFixer, the problem is fixed. I have been fussing with the the Create Atmosphere tool in the materials room with a great deal of glee. It is exactly what I was looking for.

There's another simple solution for fog and such and it's called WeirdWeather. It has all the stuff needed... gentle haze to add ambience to a scene, boiling smoke, eerie alien mists or fiery fogs, lightning crackling inside the clouds, or a rain of blood, it can be achieved easily. Fog, clouds, mist, haze, rain, lightning and rainbows. Adjustable strength. Works great, I've used many times and I jist love it. You can get it at the marketplace here or at CP, just follow the link.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

Thanks, I have Weird Weather and use it for external scenes in addition to Nerd's Fog Deluxe. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and recall having my date use a flash light to find the road after a date in the Berkeley hills because you couldn't see a full car length ahead.
