Heya!

Just running an informal poll, here. :) What is your favorite hair style that you use on your Poser characters? It can be for any character, just so long as it's a hair figure or object you can use in Poser.

Thanks for any feedback!

Grace Lion by Quarker is the one I use most! Then: Primal hair, Paradise hair, Silky long hair, Agent hair, I also use others from Koz and 3dream too!

Cleo Power hair, can't remember who from, otherwise custom dynamic hair.

Kyoko Hair MK-3 from Kozaburo. It's got to be one of the best hair models out there... ...and it's free. How do you top that?

I probably use Sassy Hair 2 more than anything else, but I have a big hair collection and I like to vary it a lot. Sassy Hair looks good and it's quick to render, so it gets used a lot when I'm doing a quick render to illustrate or test something.

I prefer dynamic hair - mainly from adorana http://www.adorana.de/downloads/categories.php?cat_id=1 or the modified bob from RDNA . Those give the best rendering results - but be sure to ckeck visible in raytracing off.

Interesting choices, I'll hve to look into some of these. Right now I use Wild hair because it renders nicely and then Kozaburo's Short Bob because it has fits for most figures and good MAT options.

I'm a hair addict and use most available at some time or another. I hope you're asking this because you plan to create some hair. The one thing I'm missing is some type of soft curly hair ala Marilyn Monroe. Grownup styles. It seems that most hair created is straight or almost straight or curvy but not curled. Probably because it's hard to make soft curls. OK, nuf said.

I love Mane Hair. You can get it here at R'osity. Alanis Hair is really nice too. 3dcommune has it.

Koz's "Short Bob" also. Lately been using it for the crown/head then hanging other hair below for the neck & shoulders.

Sapphire Fox Hair and anything by Kozaburo (MK3 is my favorite) or 3Dream and the Vicky's Changing Ponytail Character (VCPC).

For dynamic hair, I've gotten a lot of milage out of the Poser6-included Kate Hair, just be scaling and fitting it to my male or female character. You can attack the color in the material room and the density of the hair in the hair room. ::::: Opera :::::

I'm really liking Koz's short bob hair these days.

I really like all Kozaburo hair, and maya hair.

DigitalDreamer posted Mon, 19 December 2005 at 2:41 AM

Any hair by Koz - I continue to be amazed at the man's generosity in making it all free. Oh, and sassy hair, but I get weird artifacts in it sometimes when rendering

Without naming names, I like hair styles that have morphs that give you substantially different styles. Too often you see a product description that says that Hair XYZ has 26 different morph dials, then you find that most of these twitch one little strand a fraction over that you would find it hard to notice any change.

Some that haven't been mentioned yet:
Glorious Hair - 3Dream (great transmaps and styling options, probably the most realistic looking full/long hair out there right now)
Bombshell V3 Hair - DAZ (an old standard for when I want big volume, but it doesn't always render so well, it could use better/updated textures and trans maps).
Moni Hair - RDNA

But I think I just purchased my new favorite, which a couple of people have already mentioned:

Wild Hair - DigiCalimero

The materials, textures and trans maps are simply the best I've ever seen to date on a hair item. Fantastic results. I highly recommend, and I think it's still on sale - worth every penny plus, one of the best Poser purchases I've ever made. Edited to add: However a really good, realistic long wavy/curly type hair is still needed. I can't work the hair room to save my life and the render times are too long for it anyway. I'd kill for a really nice long wavy/curly hair prop with top notch textures/materials/trans maps - that and more clothes for She Freak.
