Most parameter sets and fractal files written by Ultra Fractal 4 will open fine in Ultra Fractal version 3.05. This topic describes the exceptions. Jos.

The given link does not describe the problem in total. There are even more attributes of the gradient that have to be decreased by 400 to stop the UF crashes. One has to study the gradient information carefully. Just copy the gradient from the gradient window (Ctrl-C) and paste it into your favourite text editor. There you can read and correct the entries.
