This is to show that a winter in Canada on my side of the country can be pretty nice. No snow...a balmy 42 deg F. That is shorts and T shirt weather.Welcome.

Tedz, this is Christmas day from my front deck, I'm just south of the Canadian border from Doug... Tonight, though, I saw a huge bolt of lightning hit the water, that was wild!!!!! Then it hailed for about an hour...

So that is where the other end of the rainbow ended up. Nice.

I think the gold was on my side. That is about as I saw it for the gold highlights in sky.

Actually I peeked behind that tree and the end was just glowing on the water, I've never seen the end so closely before... ;)

People in FL would be bundled up in parkas, gloves and scarves in 42 degree weather, lol. Seriously, two beautiful shots...glad you are having mild temps up there right now.

Ya Brian, what are they looking for??? So close together too??

Tedz posted Thu, 29 December 2005 at 1:19 PM

Ok...ok...ok..... this is Waitarere Beach....near Foxton....and...once a Year Authorities cordon off the Beach for a Day beforehand while they bury tonnes of Prizes in the Sand. Then about 10.00.a.m. the next morning, they let the whole Community loose and People go hard out until dark....trying to find the goodies. There is a "Special Enclosure" for wee tiny Tots ...it is much easier....though they got quite cross that I also joined in. So there....the "Big Dig"....Cheers!
