I've decided to try exporting characters from Poser into Lightwave, and was wondering if anyone was adept at this and what process they used. Is the ProPack much help in this process?

The ProPack allows you actually open your Poser scenes (.pz3 files) inside of LightWave with a provided plug-in. That way you can animate or pose your characters in Poser and bring it into LightWave to render. You can download a PDF copy of the ProPack at the Curious Labs website and read all about it. Works best if you have LW 6.5.

Damn typo gnomes! I'm giving up typing! That's supposed to be '...download a PFD copy of the ProPack manual at....'

Download Propack? Okay, I'm on it! Oh wait, just read your second message. So what's a PFD file? Oh, wait, just read your first message. Those aren't gnomes by the way, they're gremlins. And they look exactly like that thing Shatner saw outside the plane window. Exactly.

If you are on a Macintosh and have the propack and lightwave 6.5 as i do, FORGET IT!!! wont work!! Curious labs missed the mark on that one. you still have the option exporting your poser meshes as lightwave objects and rigging them the good old fashioned hard way in LW ( wieght maps Arrghh!!)

Curious has said the Mac problem will be fixed with the Propack patch they're working on.
