It's been a while since it was last asked - has anyone developed the 3 major characters in the Potter stories? (Harry, Hermione and Ron.) Ernyoka's Snape(like) character is right on, but where are the students? Obviously can't call them that, but the appearance could be pretty close. Fetter

I've seen a render a while back, but I don't remember if someone morphed something, or it was commercially available..it was Potter. All I've seen is Snape..

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

I think Poserworld had the school clothes and wizrd robes to fit the original (I think) DAZ preteen boy and girl.

Poserworld has the robes & stuff that fit Luke & Laura.

I have the one major Harry Potter character morph for David 3.0 (D3), and am working on some others as well. There is also a morph of Draco Malfoy, and David Thewliss' character Remus Lupin.

The Snape morphs are available from Ernyoka1 (Trekkiegrrrl) on here in the freestuff I believe for both ApolloMax and M3.

There will be some new props available soon, as I am working on a series of magic wands which will be released as freestuff either here or at my site.

My one Potter FC2 is however, from Order of the Phoenix (book 5) so Harry is over 16 at that point, and my newest is from book 7, so Harry is over 18 more like 21.

If you are looking to do Harry Potter stuff in the first years then the clothing sets for HP at Poserworld are pretty good, however the texturing is a bit messy at the seams.

Xena made some Mil figure Capes that work really well, and you can texture them quite well with the templates provided.

And since the new HP4 Goblet of Fire film came out, using the Mildragon 2 is even more fun!

Greetings
Antonio

This was an image I did with my newer FC2 from Harry. Kamion has a good Draco character, and Ernyoka1 has Snape.

Although it's criminal to say so, I'm not an enormous fan of the books and such, but I do like them. But I wanted to say -- wow. THat's a great potter. Really, really well done.

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

My M3 Snape isn't available anywhere really, because I still need to find a way of distributing him. He's a mix of practically each and every morph pack out there for Mike 3 G I AM working on recreating him in Blacksmith though but it takes a lot of time. Still, anything that allows me to look at lots of Snape pics.. er.. uhm.. for research purposes of course.... By now, I've made practically every make Poser character into SOME kind of Snape. Including the improved Dork (forgot the name right now)

Kamion has a very nice Draco, but he doesn't look much like Tom Felton though. I've made a (IMO) pretty convincing Lucius as well. Ron and Hermione? Mmmm.. Kamion made a Ron. Prettier than Grint, but definately a Ron. Not sure how his Hermione ended up, I know he was working on her, but.. er...

Who made Lupin? (well I know I've made a Lupin, but.. other than that one?)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I tried to make an HP, too. What do you think?

TrekkieGrrrl posted Thu, 12 January 2006 at 5:15 PM

That's not bad at all! Which character did you use?

I assume your Potter is based on the book cover art style? Nice job.

Yes - I like the books more than the film ans so I choosed the illu of the book. Anyway: Your art is much more detailed and inspired. The reason I made an Harry P. is the I'm just working on an game with some lookalikes from celebreties. I'm now at 60 different persons that will crowd my game. Hope I find someday the time to show them here ...

I recently saw else-net the suggestion that John Steed, in the colour Emma Peel adventures, could almost be a Potterverse wizard. Partly the clothes, partly wondering how he manages to write "Mrs Peel, we're needed" where he does. I can sort of imagine it, with Ron missing, and an older Harry and Hermione.

Ralf61 posted Fri, 13 January 2006 at 3:09 AM

I'm not sure, if John is the father of Harry :-) But nice theory ;-) But I'm sure that as partner I prefer Emma instead of Hermine (in Germany she's named Hermine). Did I mentioned that she will play also in my game *smile*

Not even as 10% of the real Emma - but she is mine :-)

I think you could get something on the basis of seeing Potterverse wizards as people who try to hit some bit of popular culture, and miss. So you get a streak of Dickensian London in Diagon Alley, as presented in BBC dramas. And a wizard detective might have a deerstalker and talk like Sam Spade. I think that might help in developing a setting for a render, as well as clothing styles. It occurs to me that the Weasley household has a resemblance to the TV version of The Darling Buds of May. Speculation: if you had a wizard who was really into science and technology as a tool, would he be a sci-fi technomage, or would his robe look more like a lab coat and have pocket-protectors? I think you could do more with the classic British boffin as a model, and a slide rule instead of a calculator.

TrekkieGrrrl posted Fri, 13 January 2006 at 7:19 AM

dramadraught.gifHeh based on the clothes the (movie version) of the Potions Master wears, I'd say a wizard would wear anything suitable (or unsuitable.. Those billowing robes around volatile potions??? - but it sure looks goooood)

I recently saw someone speculating what happened if Snape had gotten hold of a Time Turner when he fled Hogwarts and turned himself back to the 1880, becomiing a certain detective... But I've never seen Snape play the violin, so I doubt it L
