All, I've been playing with the GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Package) for a few months, and comparing how this freebie matches up to Photoshop and other 2d packages that I use (On Linux and Windoze). I like it, would any of you be interested in an 'Introducing the GIMP tutorial' ?

Hey Gog, I think thats a splendid idea. I understand the Gimp gives Photoshop a good run for its money. Ive never tried it personally being addicted to Photoshop. How about posting a link to the Gimp download while youre at it?

sure..there's a file out there called 'grokking the GIMP' that you might want to check out (if you haven't already). Big HTML file. I use it sparingly (mainly 'cause I'm not sure what to do with things yet..;) go for it.

Yes, I'd be interested in finding out more about The GIMP. A basics tut would be very nice.
