Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
2 select the gun and in the edit menu select memorize element and then do number 3 3 parent the prop to the hand using change parent in the object menu. Save the gun as a smart prop and it will appear parented in the hand the next time you use it. The memorize element part is just to make sure that the gun stays the same size. If the hand pose doesn`t fit, the gun might be too big, the grasp and thumb grasp dials can be used to get the pose nearly right and then adjust the individual fingers and thumb till they are right.
Yes! Thanks for the help xantor - guns are sized and parented. Looks good - I saved the smart prop but when I use it I have to REadjust it in the characters hand etc. Guess that's part of it. I'm sure I'll have more questions since this is pretty much the tip of the iceberg for me right now... but at least I got one of the most important things out of the way... WEAPONS! :o)

OK, I know you've all heard this before... but here it is again. (actually 3 things)
I downloaded a cool gun prop - but now, after I resized it I can't seem to wrap the characters hand around it (the gun). It bleeds through, the characters skin... also, how do I a) put the figures thumb behind the gun and the rest of it's fingers in front of the gun.
Also, how are the props saved in Poser? I'm asking because I'd like to save a prop so that they will all be the same size when U re-use them.
Lastly, how does one "attached" a prop (like a gun) to the figures hand so it does not come off when animating/walking etc.
Thank you so much - this thing actually seems like tons of fun once I figure out basic things like this!
