Firts let me wish you a very good year. This my first WIP for this brand new year, I'm actually working on a "low-tech" looking war-robot. Some kind of machine that could protect us from those bad bad bad alien's ships ;-p I've only modeled 1 arm at the moment, but this will let you imagine what it may look like at the end. Cheers.

the arm ( no hand but a plasma-coherent-ray-gun )

pidjy posted Thu, 05 January 2006 at 1:08 PM

some details

garryts posted Thu, 05 January 2006 at 1:24 PM

Nice detail - like the look of that! Will be interesting to watch that develop. Textures all yours too? Garry (trying to stifle 'green eyed monster' syndrome against those who are great 3d modellers)

Awesome modeling again pidjy. this will be one to follow. Bryce or some other??

Bryce marc, only bryce, nothing but bryce!

great modelling work again, with all us compulsive modellers about maybe they should make a modelling challenge.

Now put this in one of your street scenes... :D (Of course you'll have to finish the rest of the bot.) I bet you could get it published in one of those 3D magazines.

yeah, have to say, excellent. and the texturing is what rocks my world the most :) drac

bandolin posted Thu, 05 January 2006 at 4:22 PM

Your texturing is always amazing. What I don't get, is that is entirely Bryce made of primitives, how do you get your textures to look so even over the entire model? Its as if you were able to apply the texture to the entire thing and not each separate primitive.

Drac is right I use terrains with corresponding textures painted in photoshop. Marc concerning other apps, well I must admit that I've been thinking about a C4D or Carrara5.. but for the moment I still use bryce ;-p

Thank you all for viewing. I've made a leg, and I'm actually working on the foot ( the most dificult piece to build for me )
