I recently uploaded a 3d model pack and was pleasantly surprised by the ammount of downloads, i was even more shocked when i had a look at the sites statistics and found out more than 3 times that were trying to download it.
My question is does anyone know a website provider thats as easy to use as geocities but has alot more bandwidth.

How much can you afford? My provider has a good, affordable range of packages with decent bandwidth allowance. I've been very happy with them."you are terrifying

The cost for Yahoo Small Business isn't too bad & I would guess that their file manager etc. might not be too different from Geocities.

25000Mb webspace 510GB - yes GIGAbyte - bandwidth per month unlimted email accounts free domain name or transfer free setup all for $Aussie 9.75 per month they are who I'm with and have been faultless in their service and providor-ing. I was with vizaweb.com once and they were down more than they were online. Major hassles and crappy tech service to go with it. - avoid them at all costs!!!

Look into dreamhost.comI have the "Crazy Domain Insane" pkg and I love the space and bandwidth they provide. All new customers also get their domain registration FREE. :)

250 MB space 8 GB transfer 25 domains Unlimited mail accounts unlimited SQL bases and so on for $4.95 per month on a Linux server with Cpanel (which is easy). But you have to have a domain name before you order hosting. godaddy.com has com and org domains for $8.75 per year. BTW, SeanE, that sounds extremely nice. Would you like to share the address of the hosting service? Or you're keeping it for yourself? :-)-- erlik
