For this interested in the GIMP tut I mentioned the other day, I've done a basic intro tutorial, just waiting for the mods to approve it....

Download the 2 files, and Bob's yer uncle..only slightly more complex than anim8tor (which is 1 file). Once you're comfortable, look around for filters, and 'script-fu' settings (there's oodles on the net). Having fun with it so far..also, there's an html 'manual' called 'grokking the GIMP', which could be helpful..think it's on the main site..and of course, there's also the upcoming tutorial..

Pakled: O.K. but is Fanny your aunt? A lot of conversations about gimp lately ... is there a new version? I lost a lot of links along with my mind and a few other outrageous fortunes when I lost access last year. Thanks for the link I'll check 'er out!!

I'm running low on Aunts (at my age..;) There's an old Monty Python skit about WWII British pilots..the phrase 'Bob's yer Uncle' implies (I guess) that a complex relationship is simplified?..;)

Johnny Depp said ". . . Bob's yer uncle, Fanny's yer aunt . . ." in that "Pirates of the Caribbean" Movie. That's where I got it from. Gotta find some space on disk first - or get another HD. then I'll be on it.
