I trying to find weapon effects that I can use in either poser6 or Daz, or just poser 6.. Need realist weapons fire and explosions and such. Any help is greatly appreceated. thanks

There's "Pyrotechnics" in the MP or there's a copule of sets that I use from DAZ "fantasy and Sci-Fi effects" by Blondie999 and Jepes "steamz" has some explosion type stuff in there + loads of other stuff. I used both sets in this image!

Which effect is the laser beam coming out of the gun? Is that a textured 3D model?

MetaForm also has a pretty cool plasma gun preset (which explodes on impact) and som blood & fire effects. It seems a better for animations.

onimusha, the gunfire is a prop with a MAT pose, part of the set from Blondie999 at DAZ. thefixer, poser coord.

Make some an explosion/gun blast up in particle illusion or desired paint package using filters. Make an alpha plane/transmap from this. Then stick the poser square at the end of any weapon. Now apply the explosion and matching alpha plane. If you have Poser 5/6 then you can use video in this way.

Jepes has some movie effects in his store. I have 2 or 3 of them and like them very much. Not sure if any are for guns though, but it's worth a look.

Jepe's Movie Props has one complete set with gunfire and laser props etc. I suggest you look up the vendor JPETER and check out what he has done for gunfire and laser weapons. He has one set for stationary fire, and one that is completely good for animations in poser! Definately worth getting.
