Does any one know how to get a P6 character like Jesse or James to import in to Vue Infinite???
Dale B posted Thu, 12 January 2006 at 6:00 PM
You have to disable the external morph targets (the .pmd file) in your general settings. Otherwise Infinite strips the data, as it doesn't know what external morphs are. After that is should be a snap...

Try also uncompressing the OBZ file for Jessi etc. (giving you an OBJ).
There are scripts supplied with Poser to do this.
Have you applied SR2 to your P6 ?

SR2??? This is all new to me as I have only been using P6 for about two weeks.

You should be able to import the Poser scene file right into Vue 5 Infinite

Does this also apply to Daz Studio? I just installed it but already it looks easier to use than Poser. I hate the Poser GUI.

Ooops! nruddock is also right; all the P6 default files are compressed, and that mucks things up a bit too. There is a pyton script in the menu to uncompress all resources. You -may- be able to do this with DS as long as you export your scene as a pz3, and expect nothing more than P4 initial quality. How long you can do it is going to be a different matter, as file formats evolve...

I thought you just had to uncheck " bianry morph data " in Poser6 then just save the whole file as a normal PZ3 then just import it into Vue. It seems to work for me :)

Well I can import any other figure from P6, just not Jessi. It starts to load her in and then nothing happens.

Works now, had to install SR2 update for P6
