it's almost like the base texture has jpeg banding, rather than smooth gradients.

The base texture without the MacRealSkinShader applied is completely smooth.

I think this has to do with the 8-bit limitation on poser displacement maps but I am not sure.

Actually, this is the first time I've had this happen with MacRealSkinShader... Maybe face_off can jump in on this... I'll e-message him...

Hi there - it's the min displacement bounds. For a close-up like this, you don't really need the granite displacement, so turn off displacement in your render settings. Or setting the Min Displacement Bounds to 0.01 should do the trick too.

what i do is turn of Displacements and turn bump maps up 0.02
