Twenty-six days of rain?Twenty-six???My god,that's almost inconceivable.I can just imagine the terrible flooding that must have resulted from such a deluge.That's almost biblical.Is that normal for where you live?I'd think folks would start building arks with that kind of weather,lol.We had 6 days of rain a few months back and my backyard turned into a small lake! Well,I'm happy to hear that's ended.You must be thrilled! :^)

Seattle was on 26? Who knows..the record there is 37 I think. Great shots...

How do you always find these birds? A perigine actually flew past me the other day, wing tip a foot from my leg, between foot and knee height. Total surprise to look down and see it go by! Then it glided on to a perch where viewed with binocs the breed was confirmed. Sure..no shot of that totally silent passing by. Still...it made my day!

Not that bad for flooding where I live. We live on what is called the South Slope...so lots of run off.
Besides this is not Arizona...we have storm sewers.
Only low lying river areas flood, and sides of mountians can threaten to cave in...but thats thier fault for living on the side of a mountain.
Anyways thanks... I was happy seeing this bird again.
I imagine there is two nested somwhere close.I havent seen anyone else taking pics of them, so may see if the local paper will place them.

Focal length on the top one is 240 mm at 1/640 sec F6.3
Bottom was 270mm 1/800 sec at F7.1
All 200 ISO.

Yes...here in Olympia too. It was a cool non-rainy day today. Even I managed to get outside and take a couple photos. :-)

WEll, here in Seattle area it's day 27, we did have some sun and YES it was great, but then came the rain again... and wind... But, I enjoyed the sun while it lasted!!!!!! even got a few photos in... sunset out front... with eagle soaring in the wind... So Doug, still no rain at this hour???? We're in the same time zone eh????
